Our family member has received excellent care at this hospital. The doctors, directors and staff have been so compassionate, caring and professional. We were told before she arrived there that this facility is number 1 when it comes to weaning patients off the ventilator and they were so right. When other ICU professionals thought that she would never be able to live without it, Kindred professionals had her off and using only CPAP assistance in the evening after only 2 weeks! The Speech, Respiratory and Physical Therapists are wonderful and truly care which makes such a difference in patient care. Some of these people are like family to us now. The nursing and CNA staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and caring as well. The facility may be a little outdated however it is not the location it is the people and that has made all the difference for us and our loved ones care. Can't say enough nice things about this place and the people who make this type of care happen. Thank you Kindred!

The staff is too slow responding to patients. Not enough CNA's. Once again mom has to wait over thirty minutes or more to get cleaned up because the CNA has two patients in front of her. I've cleaned her up multiple times since her stay in three weeks. Everyone has an excuse to point I'm beyond fed up. I consider it to be elder neglect. I reported this same problem the second day she was admitted once I noticed the problem. I understand there are other patients with needs but as I said before don't keep accepting people if you can't take care of the ones you have already admitted. I'm tired of excuses. The hospital is responsible for all the patients. I see very few family members and I encourage you to make more visits to your family member or friends. This hospital seriously needs to be investigated. I posted an earlier post three weeks ago but it was removed. I will follow up with this. Beyond discussed and taking it to a whole new level.

Worst place ever or it was in 2004. My grandma had colon and lung cancer she was transferred there they hardly ever came in to flip or change her. She had a trach. And we used to stay there for over 8 hours with no nurses coming in. She was supposed to come home twice the 1st time she had gotten a fever so that went away and the 2nd time we got a call she had passed away.

My brother came to this hospital after a his brain aneurysms. He was unresponsive when taken to Orange Park Medical Center. After excellent care from that facility, he was transferred to Kindred. The staff is amazing, our family has had the opportunity to be involved with his care, from bedside to therapy, and upcoming discharge. My brother enjoys certain music and my nephew has downloaded hours to play non stop in his room. When at therapy one day with him he was somewhat sluggish. His doctor came by and asked the therapists where his music was? Not only did the doctor remember my brothers love for music, but he also realized the music helped motivate him to pedal the bike. I could go on and on, but in a nutshell, my brother will be transferred to a rehab hospital this week, only because of the wonderful consistent care at Kindred. Thank you from my entire family and friends. You have helped bring this wonderful man back to us, a loving father, brother and friend to many fantastic friends.

Terrible care. Waiting 2 to 3 hours to be cleaned up after a BM is unacceptable!!
