A beautiful park, covered tables with a view of St. John's River a dock to walk or fish on. Fenced in playground for the little ones. Spring fed swimming pool during summer. Dog's are allowed on a leash only. Indoor bathrooms, could be attended a little more often. If people would just be respectful & stop littering it would be even that more beautiful. There are plenty of trash cans through out the park. Maybe some people haven't a clue what those big cans are. In order for Beautiful places to remain Beautiful we all have to do our part. "IT REALLY IS A NICE PARK" I personally just get upset when I pick other people's trash up. BUT IT IS WORTH GOING TO.
(Also fantastic if you hunt/hide rocks)
They recently remodeled the pool and added a kids splash park, a new water fall and pool building. They also added a new fence around the spring which is very helpful with keeping the children safe. My son and I absolutely love this park!!
A solid three stars! I have to agree with others; the park is beautiful, the views are stunning, the amenities are abundant and nice. Green Cove also did a beautiful job renovating the pool. It's all beautiful - Just Don't Touch The Water! Well you couldn't anyway... The spring is walled off behind a fence, completely out of reach. The pool, which is at a constant temperature year round because it's fed by the spring, is currently closed except on limited weekend hours. Off season they claim... (Hint to Green Cove: we're in Florida, it was 90 degrees this afternoon). The other excuse city leaders offer is budget constraints... (Another hint: if funds are too tight to keep lifeguards on staff, who dropped the ball on budgeting for them when millions were spent on pool renovations? Maybe you might consider funneling some of that red light camera money so tourists and locals could enjoy Green Cove's namesake year round?) Lastly, to add insult it injury, is Green Cove has deemed it forbidden even put your feet down in the short but beautiful spring run.
Beautiful park, perfect for family gatherings. Pavilions, spring fed swimming pool, walking paths, fishing pier and children's play park all clean and nicely maintained. We loved it.
This Is a very nice park! With a breathtaking view. I do enjoy the pool although it is super cold because it is spring fed. I love that you can go look at the spring and they also hage the splash pad for the kids. The splash pad is on the outside of the fence that goes around the pool So I'm not sure if it is free or not. We had already paid to get in the pool when we went and played on the splash pad. I do know they had a lifeguard go over there while the kids were playing. I also don't know if you can use the splash pad all year long. Or if it will only let you use the water while the pool hours are open.
